23rd November 2017 – SRS/CIMS/SHIP Update

A software update was released to SHIP, CIMS and the remaining SRS environments.

Some of the features outlined in these notes depend on configuration options.  If you identify a feature from these notes that interests you, but is not currently available in your configuration, please contact Infoxchange.

The release includes the following new features

User Interface Changes

Address Alerts

A small alert icon will be displayed against an address if there are safety issues related to that address.  The nature of those issues should be recorded in the comments.  The PDF view has also been updated to include the safety issues flag.

Signature Blocks

A number of records can be configured to permit recording of signatures (eg. using a stylus on a touch screen).  This feature has been updated to allow multiple signatures on objects like case plans and consent forms.

Funds

Functionality has been added to the Funds feature to allow bulk approval of payments (in Admin > Ledger).

User restrictions access control

Functionality has been added to control which user roles have access to view and edit user restrictions on person records. For example, it is now possible to hide the Restriction button on the person details screen from Normal users, while leaving it available for Coordinator users.

Templates

The template management form has been updated.  In coming months additional functionality will be added, including addition of a rich text editor for email templates and ability to save templates in draft mode before publishing.

New template types will also be added to allow creation of email and SMS templates to allow automatic notifications to be sent to persons for whom a referral has been received.  For example, this would allow an information pack to be automatically sent to a new client.  (To use SMS the organisation will require an account with a SMS provider).

User Names

The set of valid characters allowed in user names has been expanded.  User names may contain  letters, numbers or the dot (.), hyphen (-), underscore (_), apostrophe(‘) or ‘at’ (@) character.

CIMS NSW

Finance reports (Reports > Finance) have been updated to include a column indicating the ‘Expected to be Repaid’ indicator for payments.  The two reports effected will be: Financial report by transaction and Financial report by transaction, with subtotal.

Other Minor Enhancements and Bug Fixes

This release also includes a number of other performance improvements, minor enhancements and bug fixes.
